›› Abstract
Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET) aim to ensure traffic safety and provide comfort for passengers. Vehicular safety applications include automatic collision notification, remote diagnostics, emergency management, and other assistances for safe driving. Non-safety applications include real-time traffic congestion notification, location-based driver information services, high-speed tolling, vehicle tracking, and automobile high speed Internet access. This talk will give you an overview of those applications and the communications involved.
